Institut Néel is strongly involved in the organisation of thematic European schools. Most of these summer schools combine basic courses and practical work in laboratories, including of course the NEEL Institute. This Grenoble tradition of summer schools with strong links to the laboratories contributes to the worldwide influence of Grenoble science.
- ESONN : European School On Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies

Furthermore, the University Grenoble Alpes manages the « École de Physique des Houches » in a scenic environment near Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. It hosts conferences and training programs all year long, most notably the bi-yearly session on Frontiers of Condensed Matter.
Various events are also hosted by CNRS and its sub-communities (Groupements de recherche), for example the School of Mesoscopic Physics in Corsica.
As a member of CNRS and UGA, you often enjoy reduced regristration fees or preferred admission for the above.
