SFP

Since 2015 the Néel Institute is a member of the French Physical Society (SFP) as a legal entity. Our laboratory supports this organisation according to our subjects of research but also with guidance in teaching and the imparting of science in general. Thanks to this adhesion of the laboratory:

  • The Institute subscribed to Reflets de la Physique including electronic access and the corresponding archive.
  • The personal adhesion to the SFP is free for non-permanents in our lab!

The members of the SFP can benefit from various advantages among which a priviledged access to SFP events and reduced fees for:

  • conferences organised by the SFP, the APS and the EPS, given the agreement between these organisations.
  • the subscription to the scientific journals Europhysics NewsLa Recherche and Pour la Science

Furthermore, the SFP supports (administratively, financially …) a number of scientific events as the Rencontres des Jeunes Physicien(ne)s (a yearly meeting of PhDs and postdocs that took place for the first time in April 2016 in Grenoble). The last session was held in 2019, we will post here the updates about the future meetings!

Last but not the least, the SFP organises among other actions a Thesis Prize and the Tutoring of Young Female Physicists.

This subscription is thus an opportunity for all to discover the activities of the SFP and to breathe life into this organisation. As a Ph.D. student or a postdoc,  the free registration is done simply by sending an email to secretariat@sfpnet.fr. The secretariat will then ask you for the necessary information.
